Tile dictionaries

The following five tile dictionaries were built and generated using my Tile Designer application. Not just the images, but even the html index pages.

You will have to use the back button of your browser to get back to this page, as there is no Home button in these subpages.

Classic 18xx (6 October 1999)

This includes most classic hexagonal 18xx tiles known (to me). It has been put together with the contribution of Chris Lawson, Steve Thomas, Peter Jacobi and other 18xx-softdev partecipants, and by referring to Blackwater Station and to Matthias Klose's 18xxps postscript files. There are still several unresolved tile code issues.

The tile dictionary covers the following games:

Games that are known not to be covered by the dictionary are:

...but there are probably many others.

Tile size is 92.

If you have installed the TileDesigner, you can download the tile dictionary file here.

Classic 18xx (previous version) (30 September 1999)

This is the previous version of the above. The style has been altered a bit. It does not contain all 18GA tiles.

Tile size is 92.

18DT Crisis (6 October 1999)

This includes all square tiles used for playing Crisis. Tile graphics is not perfect.

Tile size is 135.

If you have installed the TileDesigner, you can download the tile dictionary file here.

Square Fantasia (6 October 1999)

This set of square tiles is not used in any known game, but it has been useful for testing square tile rendering algos.

Tile size is 135.

If you have installed the TileDesigner, you can download the tile dictionary file here.

Triangular Fantasia (6 October 1999)

Anyone out there wanting to design 18BT (Bermuda Triangle) should have a look at this tile dictionary. I personally don't think there is any good application for triangular tiles, but who knows?

The triangles are clipped on one side and leave a wide gap on the other. This is due to the offset of triangle center point. I could fix this, but I have more urgent things to do.

Tile size is 230.
